    Hi Gavin

Just wanted to thank you once again for your talk at SACS on Wednesday night – you are an absolute inspiration and I feel privileged to have been able to listen to one of your presentations. I would certainly like to hear a whole lot more. The more I can do to support my Son over the next 13 years, the happier I will be. He is just the best thing that ever happened to me and knowing I can help him achieve what is right for him, is just wonderful.

Thank you too, for sharing so much of your knowledge on your website!

    Best regards
    Mandy

My husband and I attended your talk at the U3A meeting on Thursday, 10 October and I was so impressed with what you discussed. Almost everything you discussed rang a bell for me regarding the way I feel about modern education. I am not a teacher – just a concerned elder, worrying about where our children’s schooling is taking the in this challenging environment. I always felt that the old system was outdated even before I was born. It is failing in providing an education that prepares people for the real world out there. Regurgitating dry facts does not a leader make! Thank heavens for visionary people like you that have the insight and the guts to do something to change the outcomes of our very backward school system. I wish you all the success that you deserve.

Thank you for the inspirational session we had with you during the Edupeg, team bulding, this week in Cape Town. I would love to have a copy of the presentation and the music that you used, as you so kindly offered to share these with us. Your visual presentation resonates with this ‘old’ Grade R teacher. Thank you so much for this breathe of fresh air.
    Warm regards

    Hi Gavin

You are truly gifted by having the natural nack for unearthing our idiosyncratic nature as parent, a complicated role that needs to be spelt out for some, I won’t mention any names. Stepping back does not always come easily but I do understand that struggle and self-discovery is vital to personal development. We are so caught up in the demands of everyday life and tend to go into worry mode. Letting go is hard to do. One learns every day from different, unexpected and planned sources. It was a pleasure being the sponge on Wednesday at Common Ground, and how refreshing it was to absorb so much common sensicle (I just created a new word) skills for life.

    Dear Gavin
Thank you for the inspiring afternoon. I am indeed privileged to have heard your ideas and your passion. I am sold about going on this journey with Herbert Hurd Primary School. Thank you for refueling the “old” fire.
